2025 Mathematical Olympiad Program Participants

Students who excel on the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) and USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO), and/or have been selected for the USA International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) Team are invited to attend this mathematical development program run by the MAA. Here are the students who participated in MOP this past summer.

USAMO/USAJMO Qualification Index Rule Change

We’re writing to share an important update about how qualification indices for USAMO and USAJMO will be calculated going forward. Below is a side-by-side comparison of the old versus new rules, as well as guidance on how to adapt.

Before (Old Index Rule)

USAJMO Index = (AMC 10 Score) + 10 × (AIME Score)

USAMO USAMO Index = (AMC 12 Score) + 10 × (AIME Score)

Now (New Index Rule)

USAJMO Index = (AMC 10 Score) + 20 × (AIME Score)

USAMO Index = (AMC 12 Score) + 20 × (AIME Score) USAJMO

USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) Winners

The USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) and the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO) are an invite-only, proof-based competition for students who have excelled in the MAA American Mathematics Competition (AMC) 10 or AMC 12 and the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME).
